DELTABEAM® Composite Beams were selected in combination with hollowcore slabs in selected areas of the structure to support a more space-efficient design.
Compared to traditional wide flange steel beams, DELTABEAM® can help optimize floor depth and improve headroom, especially in applications with higher loading requirements. This is particularly beneficial in assisted living environments, where accessibility, clearances, and efficient layouts are key.
With fewer obstructions below the structure in these areas, more space is available for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems—helping simplify coordination and reduce installation challenges on site.
Another benefit is DELTABEAM®’s integrated fire resistance, which eliminates the need for separate fireproofing and contributes to a more efficient construction process.
The developer of the project is Concordia Wellness Projects and the architect is Raymond SC Wan Architect. The structural engineer is Crosier Kilgour & Partners and the General contractor is Concord Projects.
